What are the injection moulds for automobiles?

There are four methods to classify automobile injection moulds. According to the different processing methods of plastic parts, they can be divided into the following categories: injection moulds, compression moulds, injection moulds and extrusion moulds.

When people talk about cars, the first thing they see is the body of a car, which represents the image characteristics of a car. Therefore, automobile die, in a narrow sense, is the general name of all stamping products die on automobile body, that is, "stamping die", for example, the top flanging die. But in a broad sense, "automobile mould" is the general name of all parts of the automobile, such as: automobile stamping die, Automobile Forging die, automobile casting wax mould, automobile injection mould, automobile glass mould, etc.

The injection mold is characterized by plastics being placed in the heating barrel of the injection machine, plastics being heated and melted, pushed by the screw or plunger of the injection machine, injected into the injection mold cavity through the injection nozzle and the injection system of the mold, and plastics being solidified by holding pressure and cooling in the mold cavity. Injection moulding not only can moulding plastic parts with complex shapes, but also has high production efficiency and good quality. Therefore, injection moulding occupies a large proportion in plastic parts moulding, and injection moulds account for more than half of plastic moulds. Injection machines are mainly used for thermoplastic forming. In recent years, they are also gradually used for thermosetting plastic forming.
